Mike has been in the construction industry for most of his lifetime. He became the youngest lumber yard manager at age 18 and started his first construction company at 24. In short order, he started winning local acclaim for transforming the homes in the northern virginia area.
Mike was named one of the “40 Remodelers Under 40 Who Will Shape the Remodeling Industry” by Remodeling Magazine. He has been featured on national media outlets such as HGTV, The Washington Post, Forbes Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine and the Washington Business Journal. In 2006, he was named one of Remodeling Magazine’s “Big50,” which names the 50 remodelers who best represent the industry by setting standards for professionalism and integrity, exemplary business practices and demonstrates an extraordinary impact on their community or the industry at large.
Mike sincerely enjoys designing and building unique, yet practical spaces for all his clients and is passionate about great craftsmanship and customer service. He is an enthusiastic advocate of green remodeling and energy efficiency for both consumers and for professionals. He writes extensively about green remodeling in industry publications and is actively involved in sustainable building practice. When Mike is not busy with his clients, he enjoys spending time with his young family and the outdoors…including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, scuba diving, and fly fishing.
Amy Finch, AIA
Masters in Architecture, Harvard University School of Design
Bachelor of Environmental Design, University of Colorado
Amy brings almost three decades of design experience in residential, institutional and commercial architecture emphasizing environmental responsibility, beauty, efficiency, comfort, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. A veteran of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Amy designed projects for the firm in Denver, DC and New York. Amy eventually transitioned into residential design and joined the Boston-based architectural interiors firm of Wells & Fox before returning back to the DC area in 2007 to run a private practice and eventually join the WINN Design team. Amy continues to create brilliant work while inspiring the team towards new heights.
Raised in Northern Virginia, Amy is an avid gardener and runner, a proud mom of a teenage daughter, two goldendoodles, and too many pond fish to count.
Sean de Launay
B.S. Chemistry, George Mason University
Construction has been a part of Sean’s professional career for nearly 20 years. He began his construction career learning everything there was to learn about building science. Sean works closely with our design team to provide critical input on the architecture as well as value engineering and budget preparation. As the Production Manager, he specializes in construction management and oversees our production team through the entire construction process with his main focus on client satisfaction.
Sean has been happily married with two children and enjoys gardening and building a better home environment for his family to enjoy.

Jen’s twelve plus years of residential design experience, combined with her passion for art give her a creative and detail orientated approach to design. When working with clients, she values translating their dreams into beautiful, unique home plans. To further expand her career, Jen is currently pursuing her certification in Kitchen and Bath Design.
Jen enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with the Humane Society of Fairfax County, antique stores, glass art, and various activities including; gymnastics, ice skating, hiking, and any outdoor adventure.
Ann has been our Office Manager since 2008. She is usually the first person you’ll talk to when you call in. Ann helps the entire Winn team ensure our customers have a great experience.
When Ann has some downtime from taking care of her family of two teen boys and a rowdy boxer, she enjoys watching baseball, gardening, a good cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle.
Christina Simon, ASID, CKD
Kitchen & Bath Designer
B.S. Virginia Tech – Housing, Interior Design and Resource Management
Christina grew up in the Washington DC area and has been in the design business for 24 years. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Christina has experience in both residential and commercial interiors including residential remodeling, kitchen and bath design, and universal design.
Christina is a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), a NCIDQ certified designer as well as a Professional Member of ASID. Christina’s innovative designs have won many design awards, and her greatest compliment is repeat business from her valued clients. The mother of two teenage sons, Christina enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and competing in sprint triathlons.
